NB

That the Aussies couldn't get the basics right was one of the main reasons they took such a tonking. Normally these basics would (and did) include such aspects as leaving the ball alone, taking catches, not getting run out, tying the opponents down. That one had to add 'Not bowling no-balls and in the process costing yourself wickets (plural)' would not have been expected to form part of that list. Especially as one was from a slow left-armer.

Good on yer, boys.

In honour of our former favourite

4 years on, we salute you IRB.

Such a shame you support the Villa.

Jimmy of the Day

"Captain Cook" finally falls

On 189 AC finally succumbs, caught by Mr Cricket in the gully off Shane Watson. The guys from Canberra behind us reckon that AC will be the next captain when England are here again in 2013 - I suspect that Strauss will still be in situ at the age of 37. But the Barmy Army t-shirts would write themselves....

A safe title escapes me

My new t-shirt is simultaneously brilliant and inappropriate, charitable and nauseous. Quite a feat. Anyway we will  be supporting Jane McGrath Day on Day 3 at the SCG by buying the bandanas on sale by the McGrath Foundation.

It's Deja Vu All Over Again

4 years on and Nasser is still sitting as a female nude in Australian art galleries. This time it was the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.... for the original post from Melbourne 06 click below:

5-0 to the Aussies?

Not this time, Pigeon.

He does a lot of good work for charidee, mind.

Finger wagging

He said not out, now get on with it.

Insolence.

But Jimmy should really be drinking a coldie after all his hard work

The Other Jimmy of the Day

Fuck me; that's Ian Woods

Oh and Glenn McGrath was also in attendance along with Sky's Australia Correspondent  (and former Mercia Sound Coventry City correspondent) Ian Woods. Both teams were supporting the McGrath Foundation campaign which is why I now own a cerise t-shirt proclaiming that England's Barmy Army like Boobs.

Another Aussie wicket tumbles

At last a cricket photo without copyright infringement risks attached. New Year's Day at the Coogee Oval and the Barmy Army win the deciding match against the Fanatics. Truly a great way to spend New Year's Day.
